Rest. Sabbath. Summer. I’m trying to think of any women that rested in the Bible. Hmmm…rest does not seem to be a common theme, even for men. Jesus and his disciples got themselves in trouble for working on Sunday. Nathaniel was resting under that olive tree. God rested after six days of creating thing. But what about women? I guess Mary of Bethany, possibly, sitting at Jesus’ feet. But she was mostly listening, not resting.
