I are deeply grateful to have Karen Canton’s artwork throughout these pages. Art for a website is often the hardest part. Not so here.

When we first started work on The Scarlet Cord she would ask questions such as, “What were the colors surrounding Eve in the Garden?” “What might Eve have been seeing as she took her morning walk?”

Truth be told, I’d hadn’t thought about the visual side of things much before….and of course that is a huge part of all creation. In many ways, God is the Great Artist, bringing color and divine energy and spirit and self together in this jumble that we call life.

With humor, imagination and skill, Karen has brought to life these twelve woman and various companions: the serpent, birds, the lion of Judah and more. Thank you, Karen.
